Aviation Network Twin

Case study / 01

AAM Network Twin

A spatial environment for understanding future urban flight activity in relation to airspace, infrastructure and risk on the ground.

A spatial environment for understanding future urban flight activity in relation to airspace, infrastructure and risk on the ground.

Spatial Twin Development · Twin Applications · Systems & Data Integration

AIR + GROUND

Network Context

01 / Context

Advanced Air Mobility introduces multiple operators, routes and aircraft into increasingly complex urban airspace. Planning these networks requires an understanding not only of flight corridors and infrastructure, but also of the city below — including population, buildings, development, sensitive areas and the consequences of changing routes.

02 / System

The network twin brings flight corridors, infrastructure and ground context into one shared spatial environment. Routes and scenarios can be explored against the city below, allowing teams to understand relationships, test changes and assess ground risk if an aircraft leaves its planned corridor or a network requirement changes.
